Hi,

Love this plugin but running into a connection error:

Calibre 64 bit 1.39.0
Calibre's language setting English UK
Windows 7, 64-bit
iTunes 11.2.2.3
IOSReaderPlugin 1.4.0
Marvin XD plugin 1.2.1
The preferred reader application is Marvin
iPhone 5S, latest iOS, O2
When i start the calibre connector in Marvin then Calibre will try to connect but fails. It gives the below error. Strangely enough at the bottom of Calibre it does say 'Connect to iPhone' and knows the free space, but can't send a book (same error).

u'st_size'

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 86, in run

KeyError: u'st_size'

Full debug log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nm7wx0dchx0ld10/debug_log.txt

The specific steps to recreate the problem
Start Calibre, start Marvin and start Calibre connector on phone, error pops up

Phone works fine in iTunes, problem happens with either iTunes running or not.

Tried hard reset on the phone, tried reboot of the PC. Only 1 Marvin app on the phone (latest version).

Marvin XD does icon does light up and it ran a successful library Index, but then appears to hang on 'Waiting for driver initialization'

Hope that's enough info, let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks much appreciated.

I've built a prerelease version of the iOSRA plugin which should resolve your issue.

  • Exit calibre
  • Disconnect your iPhone
  • Download the updated plugin from this link.
  • Restart calibre, then go to Preferences|Advanced|Plugins
  • Click Load plugin from file, selecting the downloaded plugin
  • Accept all changes, exit calibre
  • Reconnect your iPhone, restart the calibre connector in Marvin
  • Restart calibre

If that resolves the problem, please close this issue.

If it does not resolve the issue, please post another debug log, but disable the debug logging option for libimobiledevice.
