DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR not necessary #60

Thanks to Christian at php.net, for a lot of back versions of PHP, using DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR (shortened to DS in PHP.Gt) is not required.

Use all forward slashes /path/to/file and all OSes will be supported, however you will still need to use DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR on paths handed back from the OS...
