• Team Background: Red is a fullstack engineer (data, systems, frontend, backend) with a background in crypto research (focused on base-layer architectures and privacy protocols).
• Bitcoin & Lightning Involvement: Discreet Luck involves DLC transactions on bitcoin.
• Origin Story: I thought the only product market fit for crypto was stablecoins (fiat currency, ironic). But then Polymarket came along! Then, I thought to myself, what if bitcoin users could experience the deep liquidity of polymarket ON bitcoin, with only real BTC, no bridging. Enter Discreet Luck, a BTC prediction market that leverages Polymarket liquidity for an improved UX over other bitcoin prediction markets.

🚀 Current Project Progress

• Progress Made: Market data is integrated into the frontend using Nostr to read/write offers, with custom params for the Nostr messages. Polygon side is integrated for market makers to hedge themselves on Polymarket
• Challenges Faced: DLCs are hard to create! I'm exploring alternative node/rust libraries
• Future Roadmap of what's next: Remake DLC module. Improve frontend UX. Add option for market makers to hedge themself against the price of BTC using Polygon DeFi apps.

⏳ Round 1 Milestone

• Keep in mind that completion will need to be by February 8th, 2025.
• First-round milestone the team has set for themselves: A working V0 includes:

1. a frontend for end users
   i. allows users to create DLC offers
   ii. enables live feeds from Polymarket for suggested params for offer creates
   iii. everything is on Nostr for censorship resistance and permissionlessness
2. a client for market makers
   i. allows market makers to view DLC offers
   ii. allows market makers to view Polymarket books
   iii. allows market makers to accept both a bitcoin-side offer and a Polymarket-side hedge at the same time
   iv. nice-to-have: option for automatically accepting a bitcoin-side offer and automatically hedging, within set parameters of an acceptable spread.

📅 Top Builder Program Structure

Registration Opens: Monday, October 28th, 2024

• Application: Interested teams apply for Top Builder.
• Selection: Teams will be chosen based on their application. See FAQ for details.

Round 1: January 6th - February 8th, 2025

• Workshops: PlebLab weekly workshops start, available live and online.
• Chat Access: Selected teams join the PlebLab internal chat.
• Mentorship: Begins for teams.
• Project Milestones: Teams are set and judged on their first-round milestones.

Round 2: February 9 - 22nd, 2025

• Team Reduction: PlebLab cuts half of the Top Builder teams. (Only half continued in Round 2.)
• Project Milestones: Teams are set and judged on their second-round milestones.
• Workshops: PlebLab weekly workshops continue.
• Mentorship: Continues.

Round 3: Starting February 23rd, 2025

• Team Reduction: PlebLab narrows down to 5 Top Builder teams. (All will be pitching in Austin.)
• Final Milestones: Teams set final project milestones for the last round.
• Preparation: Teams prepare their pitch in front of judges. Final teams are contacted to come to Austin for Startup Day.

Final Round at Startup Day: March 13, 2025

• Preparation: Teams work on their final pitches at PlebLab.
• Presentations: Final teams present before judges on Startup Day.
• Deliberation: Judges decide during a happy hour.
• Announcement: The winner of Top Builder is announced at Austin BitDevs.
• Celebration: After-party for Top Builder.

Getting polymarket clob lib hooked up on the frontend for some baseline price feeds

Hardcoding in the 'Premier League Winner' market as the only for for proof of concept. has half a billion in volume so far and won't resolve until May so it seems a good candidate

Was trying to work with the atomicfinance dlc lib but having issues, so going to try out the dlcdevkit lib instead for building the bitcoin DLC txs https://github.com/bennyhodl/dlcdevkit
