  • fixed: failing https connections (403 - Forbidden) for downloading of the masterserver list, the update information file (and the archive of a new release) from the OFPMonitor repositories here on GitHub
  • updated: OpenSSL dynamic link library files (libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll) from version 1.0.1m-i386-win32 (March 2015) to 1.0.2e-i386-win32 (December 2015). If this causes issues or conflicts, you can copy over the old files, which were backuped on an OFPMonitor update to the subfolder \backup

Changes from 1.7.3.4:

  • fixed: very minor memory leak during the program termination (but the OS usually frees leaked memory after the process ended, so it didn’t really have any bad effect)
  • fixed: the main window may have become unreachable when changing the desktop screen(s) setup (changing resolutions / adjusting additional screens). If that happens, the window position is changed to the center to the current main screen
  • fixed: servers in game state #4 (editing mission) have not been shown properly (this game state may occur on local game hosts, but not on dedicated servers)
  • fixed: the TCP connections of the master server list download and the auto-updater are now closed as soon as they are not required anymore
  • changed: the URL to the list of the current master servers is stored and read from the program’s config file now, in case it ever needs to be changed. If you need to set a different one, make sure it is a http:// or https:// URL
  • added: integrity of update files is confirmed through MD5 hashes now
  • updated: OpenSSL dynamic link library files (libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll) from version 1.0.1h-i386-win32 (June 2014) to 1.0.1m-i386-win32 (March 2015). If this causes issues or conflicts, you can copy over the old files, which were backuped on an OFPMonitor update to the subfolder \backup

Changes from 1.7.3.1:

  • fixed: handling of missing access permissions at various locations, like write access for files and directories
  • fixed: one time startup actions, like checking for an update, were run multiple times when the main window was minimized and restored
  • changed: the updater presents a meaningful error report now when an update fails and continues the current instance, instead of silently restarting the program
  • added: the default settings file is saved at the start, when none exists yet
  • added: the settings are automatically saved to file every 30 minutes, instead of just once at the program end
  • updated: russian language file

  • fixed: frequent connection loses in the irc chat, when other users were fluently chatting but not oneself
  • fixed: starting the game as a local server (multiplayer mode) via the ‘Local Game’ dialog did not work when no mod configuration was selected. The game would simply start to the main menu then.

  • fixed: No server list was queried on the very first run of the application, as the querying happened before the master server list was downloaded
  • changed: the delay for the automated confirmation in a briefing can be changed in 5s intervals now instead of 10s
  • added: automated detection of the Steam version of ArmA:ColdWarAssault if it was installed to the default sub-location
    (..\SteamApps\common\ARMA Cold War Assault) that Steam suggests
  • added: Overwriting of the hardcoded masterserver address in the process memory of OFP:Res 1.96 and ArmA:CWA 1.99. This does bring the ingame browser back to life, as PowerServer supports GameSpy’s EncType2 server list encoding since v1.1
  • added: chat settings for optional notifications on incoming chat messages

Changes from 1.7.1.3:

  • fixed: updated to Indy 10 r5161 (currently latest snapshot), which uses the latest official library of OpenSSL. The previous version of Indy, that OFPMonitor was using, came along with a custom edition of the OpenSSL library. This was causing conflicts with other programs, when a wrong library version was loaded
  • fixed: Reading the correct game version when using Fwatch
  • fixed: parsing of the header of the server list received from PowerServer. Reading the list failed with more than 21 servers. (Affected versions: 1.7.1.0 – 1.7.1.3)
  • changed: disabled querying of the GameSpy masterserver, as it is not available anymore

Changes from 1.7.1.2:

  • fixed: the main menu button “Server list”, and the settings button “Export to file…” were not registered with the language files
  • fixed: removed the 3 lines limit in the chat’s input text box. If more text was copy-pasted into it, the gui could freeze. The message length is limited to 450 characters, if you enter more than that, the message is capped
  • updated: russian language file (translations of the new gui elements added in 1.7.1.0 and a few corrections)

Changes from 1.7.1.1:

  • fixed: If the chat nickname was not irc-conform, the wrong one was used for certain checks
  • fixed: Sorting of the server and player table. The server table could not be sorted by the server names, and the player table behaved strangely (Affected versions: 1.7.1.0 – 1.7.1.1)
  • added: When OFPMonitor is not the current active window and you receive a message in the irc chat, then you get notified about the new message in a balloon notification at the tray icon
