Hi,

I just discovered a weird problem. It happens only in chrome, firefox is good.

Exiting from a product page and going back to the main list, causes error if:
you clicked the product after paginate, or using filters.

  • How to reproduce the issue ?

This is a fresh install I just performed of 1.7.2.2. No modules

http://213.32.90.157/tienda/

click
WOMAN
use filters: check DRESSES, BEIGE
Click the resulting product: wait for it to load.
Click the chrome browser back arrow. Now, it should go back to the product list. Instead of that, I get lots of uninterpreted code:

There is 1 product.

Sort by:

Relevance 

<a
rel="nofollow"
href="http://213.32.90.157/tienda/index.php?controller=category&id_category=3&id_lang=1&order=product.position.asc&q=Categories-Tops/Color-White"

and thousands of lines

I'm meeting exactly the same issue here : http://despetitsetdesmarques.com

I just upgraded PS to 1.7.3 version, it didn't solve the issue.

Any known workaround ?

Still happens in 1.7.4, I don't understand how this is not critical after almost 9 months

Hi frandel,

There are some major issues to solve before this one.
So, it will probably not solved right now.
But PrestaShop is an open source project, so it can be solved before if someone submits a pull request to solve it.

Best regards, Khouloud

if it is still doing it on 1.7.4.2 for some people...then it seems to be a hosting issue, i cloned a 1.7.4.2 site demonstrating this and now running it locally with xampp the problem is gone.

David is right, it works with this setup of a VPS preinstalled both with the bare LAMP package and in a second try, with the PRESTASHOP package.

    Linux Kernel (3.16+63)
    Apache (2.4.10-10+deb8u7)
    PHP (5.6.29+dfsg-0+deb8u1)
    MySQL (5.5.53-0+deb8u1)

this are the php packages

libapache2-mod-php5/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php-gettext/now 1.0.11-1 all [installed,local]
php-tcpdf/now 6.0.093+dfsg-1+deb8u1 all [installed,local]
php5/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 all [installed,local]
php5-cli/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-common/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-curl/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-gd/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-json/now 1.3.6-1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-mcrypt/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-mysql/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
php5-readline/now 5.6.36+dfsg-0+deb8u1 amd64 [installed,local]
phpmyadmin/now 4:4.2.12-2+deb8u3 all [installed,local]

Which has me wondering, what is the problem?

php.ini? apache2.conf?

I tried installing the same packages in a decian 8.10, but the error persisted.

Something in the already installed packages makes it work.

I am sorry Im not able to edit my previous post, excuse my double posting.

After installing and reinstalling prestashop in both bare servers from scratch, or as a already pre-configured server provided by my hosting, the difference I see is, the already configured ones provide prestashop with something that allows the option " Friendly URL = yes " by default.

Meanwhile, if I install prestashop from scratch, installing mysql + apache + php by myself, the friendly URL is set = no, even though the packages I installed were the same (at least I tried)

I did tests on debian 8,9, centos 7 and ubuntu 18 servers.

I hope it narrows down the problem so anyone else with knowledge in coding can pin-point the problem.

here is a tutorial so you can enable friendly url in ubuntu (and I guess debian) systems in order to set "friendly url = yes"
