Feature Request - Auto updating PN via Admin UI #320

As an admin - I would like to be able to do feature updates via the admin UI just like WP enables for auto updates

In theory this shouldn't be so difficult but I envision that this would need to include a lookup to the PN Releases page and see if there is a newer version available.

This is mainly for those non-connected installations where someone has manually installed as opposed to installing via another means like a repo clone or azure deploy scenario

Not opposed to this, but with most of PN installations being on Azure Web Apps it hasn't been a priority. The greatest contributor is the likelihood that such update attempts will fail if the site is on Azure Web Apps. We have already seen instances of simple plugin updates failing because it takes too long to download the file and unpack it (Azure Web Apps kills threads that run longer than 2 - 3 minutes).

If we do find a way to implement this, expect it to be unavailable if we detect the site is running in an Azure Web App.
