We are having an issue with images and PDFs. We are able to load them to the media library without issue but are unable to view or open once placed on a page. Example, we loaded a PDF into the media library and linked it. Once we view the page and click on the link, we receive a "500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed".
If I upload an image to the library and place it in a widget on the page, it does not show when the page is viewed.

What we were having to do was refresh the permissions on the folder and they would appear. The problem is we cannot do this every time we upload an image or PDF.

We are using:

Server Environment
Operating System: WINNT
Server: Windows 2019 data center
Software: Microsoft-IIS/10.0
SQL version: 2017
PHP Version: 7.2.7

WordPress version 5.1
Asta theme Version: 2.0.0-rc.1
Elementor Pro2.5.9.

Currently, all known users have full control using windows folder permissions at the c: drive root folder, where everything is installed except SQL which is on the e: drive.

Are there additional permission settings inside WordPress or Projectnami that we are unaware of?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

Unfortunately I don't have any information that would be of assistance at this time. I haven't experienced an issue like this.

I believe there is another recent ticket regarding a permissions issue on a local install, but with similar lack of explanation as well.
