So, you're interested in trying out ProtonSite for yourself, huh? Well you've come to the right place.

Download ProtonSite

Go to the code tab, and download the code as a ZIP. Then extract the files to somewhere you're comfortable with. For better organization, you should create a new folder for all your files. There should be a private folder for all the non-public files, as contained within the ZIP.

Private Files

ProtonSite works with a file structure that is designed to help protect your application from being hacked, by keeping all files that the public does not need to access in a private folder.

Outside the private folder, but on the same level, create what will essentially be your public folder. The name of this isn't important, as all servers have different setups for this.

Inside your public folder, create an index.php file. Within that file, put the opening PHP tag, and require the autoload file.

require_once "../private/autoload.php";

Create another file called .htaccess inside your public folder, and put the following Apache MOD_REWRITE code in there and save it. You shouldn't need to touch that file again.

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?uri=$1 [L,QSA]

You have just installed ProtonSite! Thank you for giving it a try. Next, you should learn how Routing works.

You can’t perform that action at this time.
