Since PackageKit doesn't use dnf, but the underlying libraries (hawkey, hif), dnf plugins have no effect on it. This means that updates installed through PackageKit will not call:

  • qubes.NotifyUpdates service to clear "updates pending" marker
  • qubes.SyncAppMenus service to send new applications and icons to dom0

Since PackageKit usage is broken anyway (#982) and we don't use it currently, this isn't a big deal. But that bug will be fixed one day (the fix is already in PackageKit git repo).
