any help here ?
how to make a new sys-firewall based on fedora-23 ?
the old sys-firewall which is build from fedora-21 im not able to switch it to fedora-23 because it wont start. isnt this considered as a bug or any help suggested by anyone ?

Check /var/log/libvirt/libxl/libxl-driver.log in dom0. Do you get any error there about the time starting sys-firewall?

One more time: try to start sys-firewall, then look at that log and extract only those lines that have a timestamp of the time you've tried to start sys-firewall. It isn't that hard.

it worked !!! , fantastic. then there is something wrong witha start button or so because when i used the command line with this command qvm-start sys-firewall it directly worked !!.
and solved this issue as well

it worked !!! , fantastic. then there is something wrong witha start button or so because when i used the command line with this command and solved this issue as well to give more info as u have suggested with these commands and small comparison between fedora-21 & fedora-23 output

it worked and didnt worked at the same time , u gonna say how ?
it worked as the green lights in the VM manager lighted up , but there wasnt any internet connection. c:-

i had to shutdown both of net&firewall , then re-open them again witha command line in order to have the internet connection.

Update:-
this problem solved for me after the last fedora-23 updates.
i dunno what is the root of the problem so that we know how the updates fixed them.
and i dunno if we should keep digging in this issue to find out the root or no , because what im afraid from is this = if there will be new updates so it will reproduce this bug again because no body know how did the current updates solved the problem at the first place.
so the decision is urs , just ask if u want any further info.

That's right. You set firewall rules for AppVMs in AppVMs settings, not firewallvm itself. There is a plan to disable this tab here to reduce confusion ( #1323 ), but it isn't implemented yet.
Anyway glad the update fixed the problem.

after i have updated Qubes manually , the old appvm which they r based on fedora 21 (personal , banking , working , ...etc) = all worked with no issues when i change their template from fedora 21 to fedora 23.
but the firewallVM (sys-firewall) doesnt work at all when i change it to fedora 23. so how to create a new firewallVM based on fedora 23 ? or how to change the template of the firewall to fedora 23 ?
