Still, it doesn't work on any Mac I tried... We're missing some module or magic kernel config... Sigh.

Ok, this is definitely a problem with the installer's kernel, and not with general Xen-not-supporting-apple thing. I have verified that if I install Qubes Beta 2 on a HDD using a normal PC, and then swap this HDD into my Mac Pro, then I can boot this Qubes Beta 2 and use it without any problem. Yet, if I try to run the Qubes installer on this very same Mac I cannot get kbd.mouse working.
So, which module are we missing?

Please, send lsmod+dmesg from installed system. And if you can - lsmod+dmesg from installer (using external keyboard?).

Ubuntu has mac support. Is there any way we can somehow take a patch from them or something?

Somewhat hilariously, this ticket is marked as wontfix despite the system requirements page asking for patches to solve this. I'm guessing nobody cares anymore?

@hakusaro I guess nobody cares because there have been many reports in the last couple of years on the mailing lists of people successfully installing Qubes on Macs, which suggests it should remain closed.

I tired it on a few Mac and on each Mac the installer couldn't support the keyboard. Perhaps this is a more generic problem of not supporting USB keyboard (Macs use USB keyboard)? Or perhaps our initrd for installer doesn't have all the required USB/HID modules? Or perhaps Xen is making problems?
