Qubes OS version (e.g., R3.2):

R3.2

Expected behavior:

Removing a TemplateVM (sudo dnf remove <template-package>) also removes that TemplateVM's Applications Menu entry (assuming the default Xfce4 DE).

Actual behavior:

After removing a TemplateVM, its menu entry persists.

General notes:

There are multiple mailing list threads on this. Example:

https://groups.google.com/d/topic/qubes-users/JXuc1ocuC38/discussion

I have also personally reproduced this bug.

There is (reportedly incomplete) documentation on manual removal:

https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/remove-vm-manually/

According to #2855, this also occurs with other (non-template) VMs.
