Turned out the Reload button is not really needed. So this has been fixed by removing it:

I installed some new apps in the template. Then, while still having the template running, I open the "Add new appmenus" for a VM based on this template and I don't see the new apps. When I press the "Reload" button it breaks all the stuff even worse (most of the "tick" widgets disappear for 90% of the appmenus).
