Qubes OS version (e.g., R3.2):

4.0 RC1

Affected TemplateVMs (e.g., fedora-23, if applicable):

sys-usb

Expected behavior:

When I plug in a mass-storage device, the device shows up in the systray, so I can connect it to another VM.

Actual behavior:

When I plug in the mass-storage device, it does not show up in the systray. If I go into the sys-usb, I see it in dmesg , and I can use the command-line tools to connect it to the VM I want it on.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Boot qubes, and then plug in a USB mass storage device.

General notes:

I'm using i3 window manager. I can see other devices in the systray (e.g. my trackpad). I have not tested if it works better if the mass storage device is plugged in during boot, will do that and report back.

This seems to be working as it intended after a dom0 upgrade using current-testing enabled
