qvm-backup-restore fails when restoring standaloneVM or TemplateVM #317

In both cases the problem is related to appemenus creation.

In fact it isn't problem with qvm-backup/qvm-backup-restore, but with StandaloneVM itself. qvm-create doesn't copy apps.template needed to recreate appmenus (and for qubes-appmenu-select).

To fix your StandaloneVM, you can copy apps.templates from TemplateVM or run qvm-sync-appmenus.

What message was for TemplateVM? I haven't seen any similar bug and it works as expected on my system...

Yes Standalone restore works fine now. But Template VMs got no appmenus restores, and this has been fixed here:
