Qubes OS version:
Qubes Release 4.0-rc4 (release candidate)
Affected TemplateVMs:
dom0
(and all the others as the mouse settings are global, although set in dom0)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
When I try to change the mouse / touchpad settings, e.g. pointer speed, reverse scroll direction, none of them have any effect.
I've installed Qubes 4 on the new HP 1040 G3 laptop.
I've tried with 2 qubes-os version, 3.2 and 4.0, same problem with both on that 1040 G3 laptop.
Expected behavior:
Expected - pointer would move faster after changing touchpad settings.
Actual behavior:
Actual behavior - regardless of any changes in mouse/touchpad settings pointer still moves slowly.
I was unable to reverse scroll direction or use egde scrolling on touchpad insead of double finger scrolling.
General notes:
Related issues:
This is probably not directly related but on that very same laptop (1040 G3) wifi switch wouldn't work. Wifi is always on. Something to do with proprietary HP drivers? Hotkey drivers? touchpad driver? wifi button driver?
It does work on older HP laptops.
