Qubes OS version:

  • Qubes release 4.0

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Terminal dom0: command "xentop"

General notes:
After the execution of the command "xentop" you will see a list of the running domains. I detected that there are domains with the final syllable "-dm". For example sys-usb-dm or sys-net-dm.
Does somebody know what this "-dm" has to mean?
I have investigated a lot, however, haven't found something about that yet. If I have overlooked something, I would be glad about a comment.

Believe those are the Xen "Device Model" stub domains.

Thank you. This sounds very plausible.
