For most cases, only attaching main device has sense (eg nautilus will not show device without partition table). This will require somehow present labels from partitions in label of device - perhaps list separated by coma?

There are cases when the user might want to assign only single partitions, as opposed to whole volumes, to a VM. So, closing this as a nonissue.
