Might be useful to support Dom0 backups pushed to VMs. The idea is as follows:
- Dom0 creates backup stream (tar)
- ... which is piped through gnupg (still in Dom0!)
- ... and sent over to selected VM, where it could be stored on attached USB storage, or some network storage.

Sparse files works only on some filesystems (most Linux, but eg no vfat). Using tar for backups will make it much more portable and filesystem-independed. Also file attributes will be much more reliable stored (important in dom0 home backup).
