I unticked it for a normal AppVM (as I wanted to pass some PCI devs there), but it doesn't seem to work -- after I restarted the VM it still gets dynamically balanced...

Manually unticking the "meminfo-writer" service in the Services tab seems to work. Now, we just need to ensure when the user unticks the "Include in memory balancing" it will cause unticking of this service.

It's already done. Just not included in the lastest qubes-manager rpm yet.
