Any details in ~/.xsession-errors? You can also start qubes-manager from cmdline, with stdout+stderr redirected to some file.

Hm... I guess the following might relate to qubes-manage (just found it in the xsession-errors, and indeed my manager got stalled again):
..........Object::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QGraphicsScene::removeItem: cannot remove 0-item
.....Object::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QGraphicsScene::removeItem: cannot remove 0-item
....Object::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter

Cannot reproduce it for quite some time... Perhaps one of the recent commits fixed the problem, such as e.g. this:
http://git.qubes-os.org/?p=joanna/qubes-manager.git;a=commit;h=f38ee1872912f9065469f7e2b5ac3555e63fefe4
?
So, closing for now, will reopen if ever run into this issue again.

After some long term use, the manager is entering into a "stall" mode, which results in the VM list not being updated -- this includes the actual list of VMs (so, not accounting for added/removed VMs), as well as the VM's paramters, such as e.g. CPU/mem usage. The only way to force update is to click on the Show All/Active button. But the list then remains forxen until the next click on this button. This always happens after some long use of the manager -- at the beginning it all works fine...
