Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the "update" button in the Qubes Manager for a template VM
  2. gpk-update-viewer windows pops up, tries to refresh the list of updates available, but after a few secs reports "no updates"
  3. Open now a terminal in the same template VM and run "yum update" -- now we see tons of updates available.

I recall this was reported in the past, couldn't find the ticket quickly though.

This was already fixed before by calling sudo yum clean expire-cache before gpk-update-viewer. But apparently on Fedora 20 sudo cannot be called without a tty, so do not work from qrexec call.
