Easiest way to reproduce:

  1. Open nautilus (Files) in a vm containing 4 or more music files (preferably in a single folder)
  2. Right click on first file and open with totem (Videos)
  3. Arrange nautilus and totem so there is little/no overlap
  4. Using swift movements, drag and drop the next file into totem target area (black pane with filmstrip)... and then the next one after that (say, 2-3 seconds per file)
  5. Immediately begin dragging the 4th file and hold it over the totem target area -- without releasing the mouse button! Hold this position for 30-45 seconds.

Result: While holding the icon over totem, the icon will eventually disappear after 30-45 seconds as if the drag operation were cancelled. At this point you should find that none of the apps for that vm accept further mouse input. Although it is still possible to run apps, they won't respond to mouse input. Terminals in that vm will act strangely: no mouse input, but you can still type in it although Enter and Space keys don't work right.

I suspect it is similar to #409 - i.e. some GTK "feature" not supported by Qubes VM minimal window manager and is causing not released input grab.
