atm it seams only the middle mouse button can be used for gestures. it would be nice if that is configurable as personally I prefer to do gestures with the right button as it is the default in opera. thx

Hi,
right mouse click option will only (if ever) be available for Windows platform. On Linux, most of desktop environments show context menus on mouse press instead of on mouse release (as it is on Windows).
Enabling mouse gestures on right click on Linux would need to break this rule.

ah I see, didn't know that...
so opera breaks this rule, as it shows context menus on release also on linux...
personally I'm fine with this 'break' although in general it's best to follow standards.

Exactly my point. It should be up to a user whether or not he/she wants to break this rule.

I would like to second this request. Maybe just a toggle checkbox to use middle click or right click. Other browsers that are cross platform typically support mouse gestures on right click. Also eventually customizable gestures would be nice but my two most frequently used ones (open tab, close tab) are the same as Opera so I am accustomed to them.

People who prefer it don't mind breaking the rule. The mouse gesture I'm keen of is to hold right mb down and switch tabs by mouse wheel and to close the currently opened tab by clicking the middle mouse while still holding the right mb. If I remember right this was also on Opera 12.x.

Also, using the gestures with middle mouse brakes the "drag and hold" scrolling with the same button, although I think it isn't in QupZilla. Should be though.

I've started implementing this as it's one of the few things that block me before I can completely switch from opera 12.
