Doesn't seem to do anything #4

Hi |
I do see the extra options in the compose view of Gmail but only after restarting my browser. However, none of the options do anything (Encrypt does nothing; the Sign option prompts for a passphrase but then does nothing after entering the passphrase). I'm also on 64-bit, Fedora 16, Chrome 15.0.874.121 |

Hi |
Yes, I tried both with and without trailing slashes and get same results. |
(This looks like a great plugin! Thanks for the work on it - I'd love to get it working.) Same issue here: The links appear in gmail, but nothing happens when clicking encrypt or sign in gmail, and can't paste in public keys in the plugin. Signing asks for passphrase, then nothing. Options have trailing slash. |

Hi |
Thanks for the suggestion - I tried 7.6-beta, but no luck. Same issue with functionality within the extension settings, and also the links are no longer shown in gmail. |
The new beta is intended for the new gmail look , if the links are missing try enabling the new theme (assuming its not enabled already). I'll do some more linux specific tests to see what could be different. Thanks for the feedback |
Hi there, Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work with the new theme wither. Tried un and re-installing the extension, reverting to the old theme and then back to the new, etc. and could never get the links to show up in the compose interface, and the extension buttons remained non function. I'll try it on some another 64-bit system and see if I get the same results there. |
I can confirm it does not work with new theme, no buttons are shown in compose message dialog. |
Hey , the compose buttons were not in the release posted , a new release will be going out soon with that included. |
Saw there was a new commit, so I packed and testing using the current git 0.7.6 - still seeing the same issue. Thanks for your ongoing work on this - I'd love to see this reach stable. |
Hi yeah there was a new commit with most of the changes that were made for the beta , have you tried the beta plugin itself. I have tested in fedora 16 and it loads fine on my side , drop me a mail and maybe I can help you debug it directly. |
Same issue here. Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit, chromium-browser 15.0.874.106~r107270-0ubuntu0.11.10.1. |
hi dustin , which version of the plugin did you use and which issue are you having , the plugin not doing anything ? |
Sorry, 0.7.5. Shall I retest with a beta version? |
Please do , it will give us a indication if the changes we have made are fixing the issues reported correctly , keep in mind you need to use the new gmail themes with the beta version |
I'd be happy to test. Can you please be very specific, as to: Thanks! |
The url to the beta is, https://github.com/downloads/RC1140/cr-gpg/cr-gpg-0.7.6-beta5.crx |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- \o/ The cr-gpg-0.7.6-beta5.crx version works. It even works with a Cheers, -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJO8JPYAAoJEJXmQ3PxUpRpflcP/isF+fT+C96CcxXRDzo6C/YI |
Thanks for testing Dustin , would you mind letting us know what OS/setup you used , it might help us towards advising other people |
Sure thing...
Anything else you need? |
That should be it for now , thanks again for testing and helping out |
Hmm, that cr-gpg-0.7.6-beta5.crx download disappeared -- where can I find the latest again? |
Using Chrome 15.0.874.106 on Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. I have the plugin installed, but I can't seem to import any keys (how do I know if it was successful or not?) and I don't see any extra options in the compose view of Gmail. I've tested with both the old and new look if that makes a difference. which gpg shows /usr/bin which is what I put in the first box in Options, I used /tmp for the temporary directory writable by the browser. I'd really like to use this thing.
