Retested on RPCS3 v0.0.28-15171, issue is still present: Log file: FuelBLUS30314.log.gz |

Issue seems to still be present in RPCS3 v0.0.30-16135 |

Thanks, this helps. Are you sure those lights suddenly working aren't a factor of the time-of-day change via the ingame clock or is it really triggered by an action? |
@Shoegzer it was night all along (screenshots don't really catch the moment) so either it's a game area thing or really all it takes is to drive awfully xD |

Here is a video posted today that captures the lighting issue. Curiously, the large lightbulbs on the left and right side of the checkpoints passed during the race emit light, though it doesn't seem to be cast far enough. The headlights on the car itself don't emit light at all though. The video also features a missing texture issue as documented in #10494. @kd-11 not sure if there's anything else that hasn't already been provided in the thread at this point but I'll try anything you suggest at least. I'm guessing this is a particularly tough problem to solve. |

Quick summary
As initially discussed in #10494, in certain nighttime scenarios, no headlights emit from the vehicle even though the game is dark. Playing the game is therefore difficult given the impaired visibility.
Details
This might be due to RPCS3 improperly rendering the headlights and lighting effects, though given that these effects sometimes work, current thinking is that something is triggering the emulated game to calculate the wrong time of day.
As @kuboslawik indicates in #10494, apparently this can be reproduced by playing "The Asphalt Medusa" race in the Tsunami Reef Camp, as the game transitions to nighttime halfway through the race.
@kuboslawik, please provide further details (system specs, screenshot, log and RSX capture) as you've been able to reproduce this issue in the above event.
