Loading specific stages/areas in the game will trigger flashing bright colors in the menus or other ingame maps.
Details
Before anything - WCB does fixes bright colors as stated in the wiki but this is a reproducible issue even with WCB.
In Motorstorm Apocalypse, I am able to reliably make the Main Menu get too bright and at least one map (City Limits) to become too bright for the user. Sometimes both can exhibit a flashing/flickering effect.
How to reproduce the issue in the Main Menu:
Select My Motorstorm
Select Vehicle Customisation
Select any vehicle
Exit to the main menu - The menu will now be bright and potentially flashing
How to reproduce the issue Ingame:
Create quick race and select the track 'Off the Rails'
Quit back to the main menu
Create another quick race and select the track 'City Limits'
The map will now like be bright enough to blind you, not recommended for anyone with HDR 99999.
Upon swapping stages/maps, it will revert the bright effects but it can happen again depending on the stages.
I have tested various settings like - accurate xfloat, interpreters, ideal world settings (wcb, rcb, wdb, rdb, cpu blit), shader modes, srm, accurate zcull, etc) and none fix the issue.
I made sure to not use any patches, upscalers or any of the "enhancement options", I also removed the shaders to see if it would make any difference.
There was an issue I was unable to reproduce upon further testing today, which can also cause Flashing/Flickering Colors in the track 'Off the Rails', it could be related with the patches or higher fps or something else I don't know.
But its just to leave as a warning for anyone in case they are able to reproduce it.

I'm also having the same issues. Specifically if you move from a track where the vehicles do not have their lights on, to one that does. The flashing lights are definitely related to light sources in game, as pretty much any source of light can strobe. The colors also vary. Most common i've seen is flashing between red and green. But i've gotten just green, blue, white, and one occasion many different colors. It seems (to me at least, and i know nothing about the internal workings of a game) that the bug is related to the game rendering lights with different colors or brightness. Loading two different tracks back to back that have similar lighting produces minimal issues
Fortunately, restarting the game fixes the issue for whatever track you begin with. However this does mean restarting the game almost everytime you go to a different track
Status Update: Still persisting.
However, I am unable to reproduce the incredibly bright scenes ingame.
The main menu one is easily reproducible, and there can still be some light flickering in the game. Main Menu [NPEA00315].log.gz
