Quick summary

RPCS3 updates since version 0.0.29-15477 (2023-08-12) caused Dead Space 2 to boot to black screen
#14469
version 0.0.29-15476 works fine

I was told to make a ticket since no one did when it first stopped working

Details

The game compiles all caches and boots to darkness. Sometimes it's a total freeze and sometimes the FPS still changes.

This version of Dead Space 2 [BLUS30624] still boots to a black screen on version 0.0.29-15476. This is the only game that I have had no luck running successfully on the RPCS3 emulator.Im at a loss here .

I was having the same issue and switched to the spu to asmjit helped. LLVM seems to break it for me.

I've done that many times by enabling recommended stuff on the Rpcs3 emulator. Like enabling the SPU loop detection option in the emulator etc .But the game never boots for me on the emulator except a black window with the fpc counter running at the top .What could be wrong here?

with the loop detection setting enabled on the CPU tab the game perfectly works with all the other settings to default.
@TheChost if the issue is solved, please remember to close this bug report

Loop detection is an optimization. If it needs it to boot, don't close please.
