Test with Accurate XFloat |

Just tested with Accurate XFloat. The issue is still present. |
|
Probably a CPU bug though not sure |

Still an issue. |
|
Issue still present. |
|
please test again |
ah wow. I thought this issue had finally been fixed or something because of this message. I tried it just now and still doesnt work.
How the game plays normally. normally you stick to the plants. If you jump, and continue to hold the jump button, then you can go through the plants (seen at 30 second mark ): |

Retested with v0.0.30-15914-2a1af17f. No changes |
|
v0.0.32-16453-fc92aef4 - still broken |
|
v0.0.32-16792-f2ef0966 - No change, still broken. |

Still absolutely broken I thought it was due to the PixelJunk game version 2.00 (which IMHO broke the difficulty / playability) The issue is (for me) that the PC version is childlike-easy, so I 'need' the PS3 version to work. Anyway, Good luck y'all |
|
Still an issue but I noticed something interesting: If no input is detected for a while at game start, it enters a demo mode with three players where two scenes play in succession. Collision doesn't work in the first scene but in the second scene, 2 of the characters collide with a very thick pathway, bouncing off a couple of times but then still falling through as if the collision doesn’t fully register. This might be worth investigating further to see if there’s something specific in the demo mode affecting collision logic. Attaching a video. PixelJunk.Eden.-.collision.issue.mp4 |
That is interesting.. Thanks! I hope someone can (and wants to) work his or her magic on this Good find! Added; The demo also shows floating pollen (* which do not seem to spawn [for me] when 'playing') |
|
@UsahNaim Good eye for the pollen haha! Same for me. I found a 3rd scene with the same behaviour – attaching a vid. + log of running through all 3 demos. PixelJunk.Eden.-.collision.issue.2.mp4 |

Quick summary
When playing PixelJunk Eden the player phases through branches and objects that are normally supposed to be walked on making it impossible to play the game.

Details
On a real PS3 you swing from branches and stick to them in order to advance through each level. In RPCS3 the player cannot interact with these branches at all making it impossible to progress.
