Getting Started

Minimum System Requirements

To be able to run RadKod CMS you have to meet the following requirements:

  • PHP 7.0 or higher
  • PDO PHP Extension
  • cURL PHP Extension
  • OpenSSL PHP Extension
  • Mbstring PHP Extension
  • Tokenizer PHP Extension
  • Mcrypt PHP Extension
  • GD PHP Library
  • MySql 5.5
  • One of the following cache drivers: memcached, redis, apc. (defaults to array)

Install RadKod CMS

Get RadKod CMS

Via radkodcms installer

composer global require radkod/radkod-cms-installer

Make sure to place the $HOME/.composer/vendor/bin directory (or the equivalent directory for your OS) in your $PATH so the RadKod CMS` executable can be located by your system.

Once installed, the radkodcms new command will create a fresh RadKod CMS installation in the directory you specify. For instance, radkodcms new blog will create a directory named blog containing a fresh radkodcms installation with all of radkodcms's dependencies already installed:

radkodcms new Blog

Via Composer create-project

composer create-project radkodcms/platform your-project-name

Create a database

Create a database suiting your preferred method, Sequel Pro, MySQL Workbench, cli, however you prefer. Remember the database name you used as this well be asked in the installation command.

Install your preferred user system

  • Sentinel (installed by default)

Run the install command

Change (cd) into the generated directory. Now run php artisan radkod:install command to perform the installation process.

This install command will perform the following actions:

  • Setup database information
  • Running migrations
  • Running seeds
  • Publishing assets
  • Create a first admin account

Enjoy

You can now login on /auth/login with your email and password asked during the install command. After you've logged in you'll be able to access the administration panel on the /backend URI.
