Folders not staying "open"

In the latest two updates (now running 1.6.9.162) I notice that my custom folders (underneath Inbox, Sent, etc.) are not staying open as a list any more. I have to click the drop-down arrow to show the list of folders every time I check an account.

Previously, the folders would stay open as a list between sessions.

This is not good practice - and I would class this as a bug. As a user, I want to see how many unread emails are in each individual folder instantly, not after I have to expand the list every time!

Please can you either restore this functionality or add an option somewhere to allow admins to choose this behaviour. I have looked for an existing option to do this but have failed to spot anything.
