I m an openbox user, and hell, it took me a lot of time to have a good root menu, wouldnt it be possible to have it back in razor?
Or at least, make the right click menu in razor-desktop equal or better than the openbox menu :D

solution no.1 - change ~/.razor/desktop.conf:
[General]
desktop=wm_native

Then restart desktop: killall razor-panel. You will be able to set the wallpaper and some lightweight icons (if you wish, but icons are quite ugly there IMHO) only - but the WM native menus and desktop actions will be available for you.

solution no.2 - and I want to finish it one day - is to find how to solve this issue:

BTW note for all devs - what about to port openbox's pipe menus? It looks like it's quite used. Not by me of course, I'm just simple guy...

@drakmail

I need this feature too (I like my SnapFly menu). But I like razor-qt desktop too.

I'm thinking about support for XDG menus and Openbox menu (pipe menu too). But you have to give me some time and I have to talk about it with other devs.

I am moving this to mstone 0.7.0; no one has started working on it.

Yes, Please do 👍

There are many good pipe menus that let you to un/mount removable media, browse /home directories (see CrunchBang) or control media players such as moc like obmocmenu which is letting me to control on Music on Console (moc) from menu. I also use it to make SIP/VoIP calls with Linphone (linphonecsh).
