In i3, the panel won't start. In other window managers on my system it works fine, but not in i3. I can confirm this in Porteus 3 (Slackware 14.1) and Arch. On Porteus, it just doesn't start, it reads the config and then segfaults. On Arch, it starts as expected, but then crashes as soon as the mouse is moved (also segfaults)

Other than the panel, i3 works great inside Razor (with desktop disabled)

This used to work great though! Panel and all, and it rocked.
I will totally help track this issue down, I'm just not sure what to try or where to look. I3 and Razor are a great combo..right now I'm probably one of the only people using them together :) so I don't expect this to be a big priority, but I'll be as helpful as I can in getting it resolved if you can point me in the right direction

So you know, Razor has merged with LXDE and is now known as LXQt. The panel component is here: https://github.com/lxde/lxqt-panel

Unfortunately there are no stable releases of LXQt yet but it's as usable as Razor currently is.
If you can, see if it happens with lxqt-panel instead of razor-panel (you can install it standalone). If it does, please attach a backtrace.

I would also suggest to turn off panel plugins one by one and see if it
helps.

Ok, I am finally system on which I can actually compile LXQT (Debian). I am still having issues (i3 crashes when the 'start' button is clicked), but I will go post an issue on lxqt-panel instead

Thank you for pointing that out, I did not realized the projects were merging! Very exciting. Might I recommend a mention of this on razor-qt's main readme?

Yes, we should probably add it.
