I'm using Windows 10 & Edge.
My HTML site icons.

<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="180x180" href="../assets/imgs/icons/apple-touch-icon.png">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="../assets/imgs/icons/favicon-32x32.png" sizes="32x32">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="../assets/imgs/icons/favicon-16x16.png" sizes="16x16">
<link rel="manifest" href="../assets/imgs/icons/manifest.json">
<link rel="mask-icon" href="../assets/imgs/icons/safari-pinned-tab.svg" color="#997d0e">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="../assets/imgs/icons/favicon.ico">
<meta name="msapplication-TileColor" content="#ffc40d">
<meta name="msapplication-TileImage" content="../assets/imgs/icons/mstile-144x144.png">
<meta name="msapplication-config" content="../assets/imgs/icons/browserconfig.xml">
<meta name="theme-color" content="#997d0e">

browserconfig.xml file

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<browserconfig>
  <msapplication>
    <tile>
      <square150x150logo src="mstile-150x150.png"/>
      <square310x310logo src="mstile-310x310.png"/>
      <TileColor>#ffc40d</TileColor>
    </tile>
  </msapplication>
</browserconfig>

It's working fine in Firefox, Chrome, Chrome for Android, IE 11. But not in Edge!!

If I change msapplication-config content to none then the icon will be show up in start menu. But if It contain path to browserconfig.xml file, the icon in start menu is showing blue Edge icon.

Where are your icons (such as mstile-150x150.png)? In /assets/imgs/icons/, along with browserconfig.xml?

@phbernard Yes, they are all in the same folder.
I have to manually change browserconfig.xml to this.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<browserconfig>
  <msapplication>
    <tile>
      <square70x70logo src="../assets/imgs/icons/mstile-70x70.png"/>
      <square150x150logo src="../assets/imgs/icons/mstile-150x150.png"/>
      <wide310x150logo src="../assets/imgs/icons/mstile-310x150.png"/>
      <square310x310logo src="../assets/imgs/icons/mstile-310x310.png"/>
      <TileColor>#ffc40d</TileColor>
    </tile>
  </msapplication>
</browserconfig>

Because my URL is /admin/pages.html

I get it. I posted my first comment a second before checking #270. I'm working on it. Thanks for reporting!

To my current understanding, this file now needs to be IEconfig.xml

I'm guessing the naming of the file will fix or affect this? This is my first time using this sort of file and making assets for Windows tiles, so forgive me if I'm incorrect 😅

See official MS docs here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/dn320426(v=vs.85).aspx

Another good resource is the favicon-cheat-sheet repo
