It appears that with the WP-touch plugin active on Wordpress installations, the Favicon checker report shows the iOS Safari and Android Chrome icons as broken. See excerpt of report below:

iOS Safari

Image may not be useful regarding its size
There is an Apple Touch icon
The high resolution Touch icon is absent

Android Chrome

The high resolution icon is absent
There is no icon for Android Chrome

The Web App Manifest is absent

It appears that WP-touch plugin is altering the headers sent to the browser on iOS and Android - is there some way to get these images included in those headers as well?

I confirm the issue regarding the icon for iOS: WPTouch icon is 512x512 which is larger then anything specified by Apple (max is 180x180). Not a big deal however.

I don't reproduce the issue regarding the manifest. I always see the manifest markup, even when I fake an Android or iOS user agent. Did you use any particular WPTouch option? (I'm not used to it)
