Open Message from reading list / quickMove in tab broken

In Tb 128 when trying to open a tab with message from the reading list (holding down CTRL) or from the quickMove (to be moved) message list opens an empty tab. Expected behavior: open a single message tab with the mail displayed.

It seems to be caused by some code in tabmail.js triggered by opening the tab in foreground, for which raised bug 1939577. Here is a workaround that opens the tab in background and then activates it separately:
