same here, it works just in markdown mode, not in rich text. But when I type emoji in markdown, then switch to rich text the emoji is showing. But in this mode I can't access emoji table with : or ::

It looks like this problem still exists. After upgrading to Joplin 3.1.20 prod Linux I am no longer able to trigger the emoji box in the MD editor. I uninstalled and re-installed the plugin; no change; doesn't matter if I use <::> or use <: char>.
Any suggestions?
