Scripts

This repository contains miscellaneous scripts that we use to help automate our work across multiple different systems. We have broken the repository down into folders for the different systems that each script relates to.

archivematica

Scripts for pre-Archivematica ingest processes.

archivesspace

Scripts for automatically exporting EAD and METS from ArchivesSpace through the API.

archivessnake

Scripts using ArchivesSnake to export data from ArchivesSpace in a variety of formats.

ffmpeg

These scripts use ffmpeg to create clips, gifs, and thumbnails from a video file.

imagemagick

These scripts create thumbnail derivatives of digital objects, move files from a temporary directory to a web accessible directory, and also can make thumbnail derivatives in place at the web accessible directory.

vba

These are Visual Basic scripts designed to run on Microsoft Excel and help automate our work with files.

Requirements

  • Python
  • Excel
