Today I learned that Pat works on the weekend - doh - no weekend pass for us!
I need to look at these retrospectives more :)
The new thing I'd like to try more of is Mahout - would love to connect it with my WoW site and see what it could do...

This weekend I’m currently taking a course on Async Programming in JavaScript, taught by Jafar Husain from Netflix. So I’m learning a lot!
Mahout sounds cool—I’d love to dig deeper into machine learning. I wish we had unlimited time.

I learned how to pull data from a website...pretty exciting for a newbie. I'm going to try to save this information to a file and also see if I can do this from my hosted site. It will be interesting to see if there are any server issues to contend with.

@afbroman Was that course from FrontEndMasters?
TIL that I'm really bad with coming up with ideas. This is day 6 I'm still submitting boring ruby code.
Probably will do web scraping tomorrow and see how it goes.

@kimptoc one of these days I'll get this fully automated so I don't have to work on weekends. it is a 21-day challenge though! 21 straight days :)

I just realised that I'm going to have trouble with this challenge when I fly to Toronto to coach at a kids' bowling tournament. If I can figure out how to make a pull request with a single HTTP request, then I could always schedule it in advance... :)

@aniruddhabarapatre Yes, the course was from FrontEndMasters. Every course I’ve taken from them has been excellent; this one was the best so far. (Though I might feel that way immediately after each.)
