CHAPTER 0
==================
About This Release

This is a highly experimental pre-alpha
for the visual shell, a program intended to provide
a graphical wraparound on /bin/sh.

In truth I had to drastically lower my aims to get
this release out. The original intent was to produce
a program that allows people to create simple shell
scripts by draging and droping icons into a flow
chart. Instead this release can just cope with getting
a couple of commands into a text field.
Nonetheless I feel that if I can make this then better
programmers can produce what I wanted to.

CHAPTER 1
===============
Requirements

Visual Shell requires an installation of the KDE Desktop
version 4 and a bourne compatible shell installed in /bin/sh.

CHAPTER 2
===================
Using Visual Shell

When it is opend the Visual Shell presents you with two
windows. The first is provides the script editor and output
field. The second is the command selection window.

To add a command Select a category from the drop down box on
the command window and then click on a command listed below.
A box will then pop up asking you to fill in the arguments
to the command.

Once you have arranged your commands run the program by
clicking 'Execute'.

The buttons 'Stream To Program', 'Stream To File',
'Stream From File' and 'End Stream' are used to add '|', '>'
'<' and ';' respoctively.

As of this writing all command and category specifications
as well as configuration files must be written and installed
by hand. See the file 'INSTALL' for further details.
