Double Click the mountable DMG ShapeWorksStudio_2.2_osx.dmg
Read the LICENSE.txt and be sure you comply with the license agreement.
Drag ShapeWorksStudio to the Applications shortcut.
Double Click ShapeWorksStudio in Applications or run from the command line: /Applications/ShapeWorksStudio.app/Contents/MasOS/ShapeWorksStudio.
You may have to Accept that you are running a program downloaded from the internet.
If the program still doesn't load, open "Settings-->Security" and push "Open Anyway" for ShapeWorksStudio.

Version 2.2 updates:

  • Better procrustes alignment
  • Exposed the control of how often to perform procrustes alignment with the choice of disabling procrustes for pre-aligned datasets
  • Improved cutting planes handling
  • Better default parameter settings

Sample datasets:

  • Ellipsoid dataset: (ellipsoid_1mode.zip) 9 binary image volumes of pre-aligned ellipsoids with varying major radius (i.e. one dominant mode).
  • Torus dataset: (torus_2modes.zip) 20 binary image volumes of pre-aligned tori with varying inner and outer radii (i.e. two dominant modes). This dataset contains a couple of thin tori whose geometries are affected by the Gaussian blurring sigma (in the Groom stage), best sigma setting would be 2.
  • Torus subset dataset: (torus_2modes_subset.zip) 10 binary image volumes of pre-aligned tori with varying inner and outer radii (i.e. two dominant modes). This dataset can be used to quickly test parameter settings for the full torus dataset.
  • Femur dataset: (femur.zip) 10 binary image volumes of roughly pre-aligned healthy femurs with a cutting plane to limit particles distribution above the lesser trochanter.

Parameter settings:
All the sample datasets can be groomed and optimized using the default parameters.
All the sample datasets can be run with disabled procrustes.

Linux: Extract archive and run, or build from source. No binary promises... it will try to link with libraries on my machine, so you'll need to run on a SCI Machine

NOTE : the initial parameters for some things may be bad. please reference #68 to update yours before running tools in studio.
