Every user can create and manage groups. Those groups can be used to easily apply permissions (e.g. to objects and folders) affecting all users of the group. Only the creator of the group can add and remove users. In contrast to Research Units it is not possible to apply to a specific group as a user (e.g. in the registration form).

  1. Login
  2. Go to MySMIR > Group Administration: Group Administration
  3. Click on Create Group
  4. Fill the
  • Name
  • Description
  • Members: Search and add users
  1. Save to create the new group

Manage group

  1. Login
  2. Go to MySMIR > Group Administration: Group Administration
  3. Open the edit modal to manage the group by clicking on the menu smir-object-menu
  4. Edit
  • Name
  • Description
  • Search and add users
  • Remove users
  1. Save to finish
