"The memory card has been removed" #17
Comments
I've noticed this problem too. Memory removal warning screen when wake up device from sleep. Basic infoSlim vita (2nd gen) 3.65 Enso "Storage Devices" settings
Troubleshooting?
Device slept for 8 hours, there is no warning popup so far. |
Apparently you may need a "compatible" microSD and adapter: https://www.reddit.com/r/vitahacks/comments/e67gzz/yamt_lite/f9pi6lg/?context=1 Beats me as to which ones are "compatible", however. |
Yea sony's driver is a bitch. I will look into it but i doubt that i can fix that. |
i had the same issue and for me it worked, at least for now, to install the compleate version and after select memory card to uma0, and also select NOCHECK for uma0 in custom partitions. hope it helps someone. note: i dont know if it doesen't matter but i passed from storagemanger to yamt and my internal memory files is in ur0 |
anyone found a fix ? im pretty sure it has to do with PNY cards unfortunetly .... doesnt seem to happen with samsung new evo blue cards or sandisk |
@HelloKS "Reformatted microSD with exfat 64KB cluster size" is bad. Instead format with a smaller cluster size like 32kB or less. |
You can format via YAMT's settings menu. If it fails then either the sd2vita is bad or the microSD takes too long to initialize. Both of the issues above can be fixed by using a more permissive driver, or a patch that spoofs a non-authenticated gamecard + mediaid; both gamecard-microsd and StorageMgr do just that. I was thinking about adding that functionality to yamt, but ultimately decided not to, as it would make it more of a hacked together mess, defeating the intended "clean & native" purpose. |
So do we have to reformat our SD card in order to fix it? |
SKGleba why don't you release an alternative version? I had this problem, but I would like to use YAMT so much. Thank you for your effort. |
Sorry for bad english
Hi SKGleba,
I recently decided to update yamt to the latest version and ran into a very strange bug.
The bug is that if Vita fell into standby mode, then after turning on the screen, a screen immediately appears, informing that the memory card has been removed.
It would be nothing, but it only works when the SD2VITA adapter is inserted into the console. (without Memory Card). I understand that when the original card is inserted, then everything works normally. (No problems in different UX0 and UMA0 partitions).
How to produce:
PSV 3.60 (OLED)
YAMT-VITA: 3.1
