Welcome to the Nao Cadet wiki!

What is NAO Cadet?

NAO Cadet is a block-based coding platform, similar to Scratch, that allows children to easily program an NAO robot. Once installed onto an NAO, the program is fully encapsulated within that NAO and no other software is needed (well except for a web browser). Just make sure that the device you use, and yes you can use a computer or tablet, is on the same network as the NAO.

Who made NAO Cadet?

This program was originally developed in 2018 by James Collins at State Library of Queensland as an open source project and under the GNU GPL v3 license. Since 2020, State Library of Queensland no longer supports the project and now lives on through STEMMechanics.

We welcome contributors to the project and would love to see it grow in the wild.
