We should rename the existing functions when_n/wait_n to when_some/wait_some (or similar). This would allow to introduce new API functions which take an iterator and the number of elements instead of a pair of iterators:

  • when_all_n/wait_all_n
  • when_any_n/wait_any_n
  • when_some_n/wait_some_n

Using the suffix _n for this conforms to the way algorithms are named in STL. The new wait_xxx_n versions should return an iterator referring to the first element after the last input element.
