I believe you are getting the authorization required error, because the date you give is causing a runtime error. You need to provide the initialDate parameter as a full datetime value in GMT format. You can do this by specifying yyyy-mm-dd%20 0:00:00

So for your example, specify 2014-02-01%200:00:00

Actually, I was able to fix the code to only expect a date, or a datetime, so you can use just yyyy-mm-dd. fixed in version 3.7
