Expected or Desired Behavior

When running gulp serve or similar commands that run / package a SPFx project, if there is a single error in the write-manifests, only one error should be displayed.

Observed Behavior

Multiple errors displayed. In the below screenshot, the yellow error is the only error... once it is fixed, no errors are shown:

Steps to Reproduce

  • create new spfx cswp project
mkdir cswp && cd $_ && yo @microsoft/sharepoint
  • accept all defaults, creating a Web Part
  • open src/webparts/*/*.manifest.json
  • set the alias to a value >40 characters
  • run gulp serve
  • observe multiple (6 in my case) incorrect errors shown
  • set the alias to a value <=40 characters
  • run gulp serve
  • observe no errors shown when you only fixed one of the multiple reported

This appears resolved when you release v1.2 according to the release notes... see 2nd to the last one here: https://github.com/SharePoint/sp-dev-docs/wiki/Release-Notes---Extensions-RC-Drop-1.2
