Inserting list items is not working with unicode characters #80

Vim:

  • vim
  • neovim
  • Other ([SPECIFY])

Vim version:

8.1.500

Reproduce steps:

Example:

  1. Open a markdown file.
  2. Paste the following example into the file:
    - 馃榾 list item
  3. Type Enter at the end of the line in INSERT mode.

Expected:

- 馃榾 list item
- |

The cursor is at |.

Actual:

- 馃榾 list item
|

The cursor is at |.

No new version has been released yet but the changes are merged in master already. If you're using a plugin manager which uses git you can go ahead and update.

I did a brief check of the places that used strlen and also found another issue #81 where table rows were misaligned when they contained unicode characters.
