  1. Fix code in sample replacing app.MapHubs() with app.MapSignalR()
  2. Include a link to a webpage with full documentation about how to migrate from Owin 1.0.1 to Owin 2.0.0. Some info needed is:
    • Add Startup class
  3. Include a link to a webpage with full documentation about how to migrate from 1.1.x to 2.0.0. Some info needed is:
    • Replacing app.MapHubs() with app.MapSignalR()
    • Replacing app.MapConnection() with app.MapSignalR()
    • Replacing EnableCrossDomain=true with app.UseCors()
    • Installing Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.SelfHost and removing package Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Owin
  4. Include a link to a webpage with bugs fixed and new features

We need to do this for the RC not just RTW. We never point to release notes in the readme. Also the migration docs will just be a link, we don't put it in the readme.

203776f fixes 1. Can you make sure the instructions work? We can update the release notes and have a new doc on asp.net/signalr which shows the migration guide. I'd like to keep the readme slim.

@DamianEdwards I'm giving this one to you. Let's create an FW link for the 1.0 - 2.0 migration doc and put it in the readme

Some of these can be excluded since we've added the appropriate methods back and marked them obsolete.

@DamianEdwards generate some fwlinks for the docs we want to link.

FWLink created: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=320578
Just need to update it to point to migration doc when it's live.

new link appears on readme files

UweKeim commented Oct 18, 2013

When navigating to that http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=320578 link, I end up on a redirected page http://www.asp.net/signalr/overview/getting-started/upgrading-signalr-1x-projects-to-20 which says

"The page you are looking for is not available...".

Any chance to see the real page?
