Documentation written for WEdit version: v1.3.3

There are some configurable settings in WEdit. To configure these, you need to open an interface made accessible by the Quickbar Mini mod. Note that WEdit will work perfectly fine without this mod, so it is completely optional.

Setting up the Interface

Usage

    ""
  • Select WEdit Settings from the available options.
    ""
  • Configure your settings.

Configurable Options

NoClip Bind

Default: g or specialTwo

The keybind used to enable or disable noclipping. The syntax can be found in the overview of the Starbound Keybinds library.

NoClip Speed

Default: 0.75

The speed at which your character moves in blocks per game tick.

Iteration Delay

Default: 15

The delay between each iterations of various actions, such as pasting copies or filling terrain, in game ticks.

It is recommended to keep this value higher than 10 (on servers) for the following reasons:

  • A higher delay will give the world more time to respond, meaning the actions are more likely to succeed in one go.
  • Sending too many requests to the server may cause server instabilities, or get you into trouble for other reasons.

Double Iterations

Default: unchecked

If true, doubles the amount of iterations needed for various actions and halves the delay between each iteration.

This is highly recommended in single-player, as it can speed up actions drastically while being more reliable than simply decreasing the Iteration Delay.

Clear All Schematics

Default: unchecked

Clears all schematics stored by the Schematic Maker. This is recommended when you have made a bunch of schematics in the past that you no longer use.

After schematics have been reset, the value will automatically reset to false.

Debug Line Spacing

Default: 1

The distance between each line displayed below your character when holding a tool, in blocks.

Brush Shape

Default: square

The shape of the brush, affecting blocks and materials placed using the Pencil, pinned Blocks and pinned MatMods. Available options are square and circle.

Pencil Size/Radius

Default: 1

The size of one side (square Brush Shape) or the radius (circle Brush Shape) for the Pencil tool. The radius does not include the center block.

Block Size/Radius

Default: 1

The size of one side (square Brush Shape) or the radius (circle Brush Shape) for pinned Blocks. The radius does not include the center block.

MatMod Size/Radius

Default: 1

The size of one side (square Brush Shape) or the radius (circle Brush Shape) for pinned MatMods. The radius does not include the center block.
